The Soft Trauma Insert consists of a matrix of flexible ballistic materials with a nominal thickness of .222 inches. The Soft Trauma Insert, when used in conjunction with Point Blank NIJ certified armor, may help reduce the effects of trauma in the protected areas from bullet impacts, pointed objects, edged weapons, and impacts from the steering column in some automobile accidents.
