The Steel trauma Insert consists of a 5" X 8" steel plate, with a nominal thickness of .072 inches. The Steel Trauma Insert, when used in conjenction with Point Blank NIJ certified armor, may help reduce the effects of trauam in the protected areas fronm bullet impacts, pointed objects, edged weapons, and impacts from the steering column in some automobile accidents.
