HighCom offers military and law enforcement grade Level III+ Special Threat steel hard armor plates. HighCom plates are designed, developed and manufactured using state-of-the-art processes and equipment to ensure quality and performance when deployed by operators throughout numerous tactical and urban situations.
All HighCom hard armor plates are NIJ compliant, with models available for NIJ 2005 Interim and NIJ 0101.06 standards. In addition, they undergo special threat assessment, and some models are independently tested according to the NIJ 0108.01 standard. HighCom also performs additional testing against V50 and special threats.
About the Guardian AR500™ The Guardian AR500™ stand alone steel plate providing level III rifle protection. The AR500 is engineered from High Hardness Armor steel and is NIJ 0101.06 compliant and can be found on the NIJ’s CPL (Compliant Product List). The AR500 is covered in a polyurea ballistic fragment anti spall and blast coating Rhino Extreme™ 11-50.
